Why this offer matters now

In 4–6 weeks, the sprint takes your leadership team from scattered ideas to a decision-ready, economically well-founded AI strategy. In facilitated workshops we develop a shared target picture, prioritise use cases by value, effort and data readiness, and cast the result into an actionable 12–24-month roadmap. Governance cornerstones and a management-ready decision template are part of it — structured in an engineering-like way, without hype.

Starting point

Around 43 % of mid-sized companies have no concrete AI plan — activity happens sporadically and uncoordinated instead of along a strategy. AI initiatives rarely fail on the technology, but on the transition from pilot to production — according to S&P Global (2025), 42 % of companies abandon the majority of their AI initiatives before they go into production — and on the lack of prioritisation of scarce resources. Leadership circles need a robust decision basis: where does AI pay off, what does it cost, what risks exist — and in what order? These are exactly the questions the sprint answers before budget is committed.

Your benefit

  • A jointly supported AI target picture and clear strategic guardrails for the next 24 months.
  • A prioritised use-case map, economically assessed by value, effort, data readiness and risk.
  • An actionable 12–24-month roadmap with waves, milestones, gate criteria and resource logic.
  • Governance cornerstones (roles, approvals, EU AI Act reference) so that innovation and responsibility are thought through together.
  • A management-ready decision template with which budget for the first concrete step can be approved.
  • A leadership circle that pulls together on AI — instead of parallel individual initiatives.

A good fit when …

  • You want to make AI a top-management priority and align the leadership circle on a shared target picture.
  • You feel pressure to act but do not yet have a robust overall plan.
  • Many use-case ideas are circulating that need to be prioritised and put into an order.
  • You need a decision-ready roadmap and decision template for budget approval.

How we work

4 phases, 4 gates — you decide at every transition.

  1. 01

    Kickoff & analysis

In a structured kickoff with the leadership circle, we clarify goals, expectations and framework conditions. We evaluate company context, processes and tool landscape, and determine a short maturity assessment (data, IT, culture, skills) as a starting point.

Gate — your approvalA shared understanding of the starting point is confirmed; the boundary "decision-ready strategy, not a build" is set.
  2. 02

    Strategy workshops

In two to three facilitated workshops (3–4 hours each, hybrid possible) we develop an AI target picture, guiding principles and fields of action with the leadership circle. We collect use cases and assess them against eight criteria.

Gate — your approvalA prioritised use-case list that is supported by the leadership circle.
  3. 03

    Roadmap & business logic

We cast the priorities into a 12–24-month roadmap with waves, milestones and gates, underpin a rough economic logic per use case (as ranges), and define governance cornerstones and a KPI framework.

Gate — your approvalThe strategy draft is ready for internal review; use cases, roadmap and business logic are consistent.
  4. 04

    Decision template & handover

We condense everything into a strategy paper and an executive presentation with options, recommendation and a proposed resolution, and present the results. At the close, we recommend the next concrete step.

Gate — your approvalAcceptance, resolution and next step are agreed.

What you receive

  • AI strategy paper

Management-ready document with target picture, guiding principles, fields of action and make-or-buy delineation.

  • Prioritised use-case map

Assessment matrix across eight criteria with quick-win ranking and economic placement.

  • AI roadmap, 12–24 months

Waves, milestones, dependencies, gate criteria and responsibilities in an actionable order.

  • Governance cornerstones

Role model, approval logic and EU AI Act reference as the basis for a responsible rollout.

  • KPI & success measurement framework

Metrics with baseline, target and measurement source for later impact measurement.

  • Executive presentation & decision template

Slide deck and proposed resolution for management with options and recommendation.

Base package plus optional modules

The base package stands on its own. Optional modules dock on now or later — you decide how far you go.

Additional strategy workshop

We add a further facilitated session to the two to three included workshops — for example for a larger leadership circle, an additional field of action or a deeper prioritisation round. The base package remains unchanged; this module only creates additional room for alignment.

Communications package for internal rollout

Beyond the executive presentation, we prepare the strategy for the workforce: understandable key messages, a slide deck for the internal presentation and a compact FAQ. This way the strategy is not only decided, but also understood in-house.

available now

Quarterly roadmap review

Once per quarter, we jointly review progress along the roadmap, classify deviations and sharpen the next waves. The module is a light accompanying cadence after the sprint and does not replace a dedicated implementation project.

Good to know & honest scope

Good to know

Prerequisites

  • Willingness of the leadership circle to actively treat AI as a leadership task.
  • Availability of the leadership circle for two to three workshops (3–4 hours each).
  • Access to relevant context information (processes, tool landscape, goals, existing AI use).

Your involvement

  • Participation of the leadership circle in the 2–3 workshops (3–4 hours each).
  • Naming an internal contact person (AI coordination) for queries.
  • Provision of context information on processes, tool landscape and goals.
  • Timely decisions at the agreed gates.

Honest scope

  • –No technical implementation, no prototype and no build — the sprint delivers a decision-ready strategy, not an implementation project.
  • –No detailed feasibility check of individual use cases; that is delivered by the AI Use Case Lab.
  • –Governance cornerstones provide orientation on the EU AI Act/GDPR and do not constitute legal advice.

Note: not legal advice. Content with a legal dimension (e.g. EU AI Act, GDPR, ISO/IEC 42001) is professional orientation, not legal counsel.
